Byck will be based in New York and report directly to NBCU Global Advertising & Partnerships President and Chief Business Officer Krishan Bhatia. In the new role Byck is tasked with propelling “cross-functional alignment around strategy and vision for enterprise partnerships, corporate partners and key stakeholders across Comcast NBCUniversal.”

Bhatia in a statement commented on adding the position at a time when NBCU’s media business continues on its streaming trajectory.

“As our media business shifts towards streaming and greater technology enablement, we are beyond excited to add this new role to our division,” stated Bhatia. “Throughout her career, Elyssa has worked to create innovative solutions while developing trusted partnerships and bringing together diverse stakeholders needed to drive transformation at scale.  I’m excited to see the impact she’ll create for NBCUniversal and our partnership ecosystem.”

Byck has nearly 15 years of experience in media and tech, including at Buzzfeed, where she spent nearly 6 years until 2019 and was responsible for partnership relations between Twitter, Meta and others as VP of Global Strategy and Operations. Earlier in her career she held roles at agencies including Mediacom and Omnicom, working across clients Warner Bros. Frito Lay and GlaxoSmithKline. Byck in 2019 co-founded Kindred, which is a venture-backed membership network focused on education and support for executives in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) space.
