Plex Live TV and DVR is now available on Amazon Fire TV, along with support for live TV on Plex for Web.
Plex said that Amazon users will also get a new user experience since Amazon Fire TV is powerful enough to run the new Plex Android TV interface.

Adding Plex Live TV and DVR gives our customers another great way to access even more content, and is an experience that gives them easy control over their home entertainment.”

The device compatibility updates arrive after Plex originally announced the service in May.
Plex’s live TV service uses an antenna and a digital tuner to pull in broadcast signals and present them alongside other programming options in the Plex UX.
The live TV and DVR feature is available for Plex Pass subscribers. In addition to live TV and DVR, the Plex Pass subscription includes Plex Cloud, offline playback, enhanced music features and automatic photo-tagging. The service is priced is $4.99 a month, $39.99 a year or $119.99 for a lifetime pass.
“Plex has always been about serving up the best possible media experience in one beautiful interface, no matter where you are and what device you’re using. We want to put all of your favorite content right at your fingertips whenever you’re ready to enjoy it,” said Plex CEO Keith Valory in a statement earlier this year. “Now our Plex Pass users can enjoy free live and recorded TV with local news and sports at no extra cost, and without having to purchase yet another service.”
