> Arizona-based Rotani announced VideoPuck technology for IPTV, an end-to-end solution for multicast video in the home, which the company claims enables error-free transmission of IPTV video when paired with standard WiFi and HomePlug networking equipment. Release

> Chutes & Ladders: Juniper Networks has two new appointments: Steven Rice as Executive VP, Human Resources, and Spencer Greene as VP of Corporate Development. Rice joins Juniper from Hewlett-Packard. Greene, who joined Juniper in 1999 through the acquisition of Layer Five, succeeds George Riedel. Riedel recently left Juniper to join Nortel as its chief strategy officer. Release

> Chutes & Ladders: Entone Technologies, a personal video content delivery solutions provider, has appointed Sarah Hackforth as VP Sales & Operations EMEA to increase presence and expand in the region. Release

> The Czech Republic's fixed-line telco, Český Telecom, is forming an IPTV brand with eight television and five radio stations. The telco is conducting limited trials through its 200 employees. Commercial service will be delivered to about 90 percent of its subscriber base and is set to launch in late June. Article

> California-based Interactive Television Networks (ITVN) is launching an IPTV music video network called PULSE offering unlimited video-on-demand (VOD) at $4.95 per month. Release

> China Telecom Shanghai is expanding its core IP network with Juniper Networks' T-series core routing platforms to support advanced IP services such as IPTV. Meanwhile, New Zealand's broadband provider Orcan has deployed Juniper Networks E- and M-series platforms to introduce multi-media broadband services such as VoIP, VoD and IPTV. Releases

> Competition from Verizon's trials of FiOS TV and AT&T's IPTV service 'U-verse'  reflect Comcast's falling stock price. This has induced fear in the cable company with its executives commenting: "AT&T is spending years and billions of dollars to imitate a network that Comcast has already built.
