Antik rolling out hybrid set-top box with 3D capability

IPTV device manufacturer Antik Technology says it plans to roll out a new hybrid 3D set-top box at the IPTV World Forum in London.

The privately-held Slovak company said the 3D Extreme, which expands its line of Juice STBs, is based on the STi7108 SoC with integrated host processor, dedicated 3D graphics, a hard-disk interface for PVR feature and Ethernet and USB connections, allowing users to connect equipment such as DVR storage and external Flash or hard-disk drives.

The device provides inputs for up to six transport streams, and provides full-resolution HD 3DTV over HDMI 1.4 with HDCP copy protection.
