AOL leads Internet TV provider's $16.2M round

Video over IP provider Brightcove raised $16.2 million in a second round of VC funding led by America Online. The companies also inked a video content distribution deal that will enable video publishers using Brightcove's open Internet TV service to feature their videos on AOL.com. America Online plans to market a co-branded version of the publishing program. Other investors in the company's second round included IAC/InterActiveCorp, Hearst, Allen & Company, Accel Partners and General Catalyst Partners.
