Apple reportedly developing tech 100 times faster than Wi-Fi

Apple could be developing a new technology that's 100 times faster than Wi-Fi.

The speculation centers around a code within the iOS 9.1 operating system. The code hints at the development of Li-Fi, a technology first created by researcher Harald Haas at the University of Edinburgh.

Based on transmitting data through light spectrum, the technology is capable of communications speeds of around 224 Gbps.
