Fresh off the shareholder approval of Kudelski Group's deal to privatize OpenTV, the San Francisco-based software provider has seen its EclipsePlus advertising management platform deployed by Bresnan Communications, a mid-sized cable TV operator in the Western U.S. Bresnan is using the platform to manage advertising sales operations in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah, reports Multichannel News.
OpenTV has several cable TV operator customers for that particular platform. Bresnan, which has about 300,000 customers total, has been fairly aggressive in the past to deploy new technology, such as DOCSIS 3.0.
