Brexit, the now-approved measure for Great Britain to leave the European Union, could end up impacting the U.K.'s TV and film business.
In a statement to Variety, Michael Ryan, the chairman of the Independent Film and Television Alliance, called the move "devastating" and that by taking away rules guaranteeing some certainty in the business, the decision has essentially "blown up our foundation."
As The Verge pointed out, that uncertainty and impact could spread to U.S. productions like Game of Thrones that film in parts of the U.K.
