Charter promotes DiGeronimo to EVP of product strategy

Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) has promoted Rich DiGeronimo to executive vice president, product and strategy.

DiGeronimo, who had served at the senior VP level since 2011, will continue to report to Charter COO John Bickham.

The executive has been overseeing a range of new Charter products, including the recently launched Spectrum Guide interface and the just-announced Worldbox set-top.

"Rich and his team have been an important part of the transformation of Charter over the past several years," said Bickham, in a statement. "Rich's leadership in the development of products and services ranging from the Charter TV App to the Spectrum Guide are at the heart of our strategy moving forward and will help Charter continue to be the leading provider of cable services in our markets."

DiGeronimo joined the MSO in 2008 from his post as general manger of cable markets for Level 3 Communications.
