Comcast earnings announcement set for April 28

Around cable, there's more interest in what Comcast is up to than Larry King's marriage woes. Therefore, Comcast's plans for NBC, it's reaction to the FCC's reaction to its favorable network management court ruling and it's drive in such spaces as business services and 3D TV will all no doubt be covered when the top MSO reports first quarter results April 28.

Comcast has already said it would be accelerating its business services, wireless broadband and interactive advertising segments and rolling out DOCSIS 3.0. The bigger questions that will no doubt be posed to corporate execs during the call will revolve around the NBC Universal acquisition and its potential impact on areas such as local programming access and Hulu. Additionally we can look forward to some talk of the FCC's National Broadband Plan and how it will influence Comcast's future high-speed data network rollouts.
