Connecticut Comcast customers hit with outage

Comcast said a morning service outage has been confined to mostly just customers in Connecticut and that services will be restored directly.

“This was isolated to parts of Connecticut and has been coming back online over the morning. Most customers should be back up now, and for any others still impacted, service should be restored shortly,” Comcast spokeswoman Jenni Moyer told FierceCable.

Local news outlets, including blackout tracker Down Detector, described the outage as affecting the entire state. Down Detector also reported interruptions in parts of California and the Upper Midwest.

Comcast didn’t reveal the cause of the service disruption.

Reports on Twitter indicated that both internet and phone services were impacted.
