Comcast looks to accelerate X1 deployment, tests self-install kits

Seeking to accelerate the deployment of its next-generation, IP-capable X1 video platform, Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) is testing self-install kits with subscribers in select markets. The company, which started testing self-installation on employees in the summer, hopes to undertake a broader rollout of the kits later this summer. Multichannel News has a full report here
