Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) announced in a blog post that it is making access to its Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots--primarily located in the areas around Philadelphia, New York City and New Jersey--available for free to users who are not currenty signed up for the company's Xfinity services.
The hotspot access usually is a customer-only perk, but the brief promotion, which allows non-Xfinity users two 60-minute windows of access during the month, seems like a good way to show non-Comcast customers exactly what they are missing.
