After signaling plans to move into the wireless business, Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) appears to be staffing up for the effort.
The MSO has posted want ads for executive positions on its company job board, seeking skill sets that can help it develop its MVNO business. For example, a posting for a "VP of business development strategy" seeks "expertise with the MVNO category and MVNO agreements," as well as "broad knowledge of the U.S. mobile industry and global wireless technology ecosystem. Familiar with major concepts: GSM, CDMA, LTE, VoIP, VoLTE, iOS, Android, PSTN, etc."
Comcast has already announced intentions of following up on an MVNO agreement with Verizon (NYSE: VZ).
