CSG, FourthWall collaborate to help cable subscribers pay their bills

Sticker shock aside, FourthWall Media and CSG Systems International have partnered on an application that lets cable subscribers see and (if they so desire) pay their cable bills on TV. Cable systems running on EBIF platforms will have access to the app which will also include interactive banner advertisements.

"This solution can reduce costs and late payments for the cable operator while making it easy for consumers to transact business on their terms," said Chad Dunavant, executive director of product strategy in a news release. Of course the unsaid message is that consumers' terms include lower prices, but this application does nothing about that.

The two companies also promised that future collaborations would include the ability to upgrade service with a remote control.
