Europe's pay-TV channels will top $5.52B in revenues by 2018

A new report from Digital TV Research predicts that revenues from Europe's top pay-TV channels will grow 31 percent to $5.52 billion by 2018. Viacom (NYSE: VIA) will hold its position as the top international channel provider with revenues of $749 million in Europe this year, growing to $975 million in 2018. The report also said overall carriage fee revenues for top pay-TV broadcasters will grow by 14.1 percent from $2.91 billion in 2012 to $3.32 billion in 2018. Advertising revenues will also increase from $1.3 billion in 2013 to $2.2 billion by 2018. Report
