HBO Now may have as many as 1M subs, analyst says

Launched just two months ago, HBO's standalone streaming service may have already amassed as many as 1 million subscribers, according to BTIG media analyst Richard Greenfield. Culling data from Apple's iOS app store, which tracks the most popular recent app downloads, Greenfield pegs the service's base at "more than 850,000" subs. FierceOnlineVideo has a complete look at Greenfield's conclusions here.
