IoT: Sure, there's lots of data, but what's the value?

The business of connecting everything from the home refrigerator to the garage door to the Internet is going to be pretty lucrative over the next few years. How lucrative is it?  At the Cisco Global Editors Conference held in San Jose, Calif. this week, the chipmaking giant said that it estimates that the Internet of Everything--which Cisco defines as the networked connection of people, processes, data and things--will generate $19 trillion in value between 2013 and 2022.
