Leak reveals Time Warner Cable's plans to update iPad app

Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC), which is still tied up in litigation with Viacom (NYSE: VIA) over what content can be shown on iPads linked to the system's TV service, is plotting an update on the iPad app.

According to PadGadget, a leaked document revealed that the application will soon provide seven days of program listings, remote control capabilities, a new settings tab, and the ability to remotely program the DVR similar to what can now be accomplished via the Time Warner Cable website.

The updates, the story said, are scheduled for June 28, "accompanied by software updates for some cable boxes."
