Meet the new telecom regulators in Europe

As telecommunications increasingly becomes a must-have service, there are a handful of new officials in Europe tasked with overseeing the regulation of wireless, cable and telco services across the Atlantic Ocean. Each of these new regulators can very much be regarded as the new sheriff in town.

Specifically, Andrus Ansip is the new VP for the Digital Single Market; Günther Oettinger is the new commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society; Margrethe Vestager is the new Competition Commissioner; Sebastien Soriano is the new chairman of Arcep; and Sharon White is the new CEO of Ofcom.

For a detailed look at each of these telecommunications sheriffs in Europe, check out this new FierceWireless:Europe special report.
