A recent report from iSuppli predicts that the total number of worldwide IPTV subscribers will total 103 million in 2011, which means the industry is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 92.5 percent. iSuppli puts the worldwide total of IPTV subscribers at the end of 2006 at 3.9 million. Another report from Infonetics found that the worldwide IPTV equipment manufacturer revenue spiked 150 percent in 2006, easily passing the $1 billion mark. That market is expected to continue to grow, but at a more moderate pace in the years ahead, possibly doubling or tripling before 2010.
