According to a recent report from Gartner, the number of households subscribing to IPTV services offered by telecom carriers in Western Europe will reach 3.3 million this year and 16.7 million in 2010. A report we wrote about a few weeks ago from eMarketeer, which excluded current cable broadband subscribers for some reason, predicted that by 2010 about 139 million households worldwide will have the broadband bandwidth sufficient to carry IPTV.
