Microsoft announces four more STB partners

At the Broadband World Forum Europe this week, Microsoft announced a partnership with Cisco, Motorola, Philips and Tatung to provide new set-top boxes for IPTV, that will support HDTV, DVR and other advanced features. The STB makers are known for their system on a chip (SOC) based set-top boxes. The announcement follows persistent reports that Microsoft's middleware has some hiccups that still need working out.
