Minerva, Entone team up on whole-home DVR

Minerva Networks and Entone are announcing at NXTcomm the development of a whole-home IPTV DVR solution. The solutions matches Entone's Hydra HD IP video gateway with Minerva's iTVManager middleware platform. As the description suggests, customers can use a whole-home DVR to access recorded video and also conduct simultaneous recording and playback from any TV in the home. It is a capability that telco IPTV players could jump out and leverage before other incumbent video providers. In related news, Minerva also recently claimed 10 new IPTV contracts with small telcos in North America.
