Open IPTV Forum aligns with DLNA, DVB, ETSI

The Open IPTV Forum (OIPF), which last month completed a key interoperability test, has announced liaison relationships with the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), the Digital Video Broadcasting Project (DVB), and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The new agreements will help the OIPF benefit from reuse of some standards and specifications that already have been developed by the other industry groups open Internet deployments globally.

The agreements should result in more frequent information exchange between OIPF and the other groups are billed as allowing for regular information exchange and joint promotional efforts.
