Ovum: BT to launch without "big bang"

The long awaited BT Vision IPTV service may launch by the end of the year, according to analysts at Ovum, but the BT may decide against a "big bang" launch. The service was originally set to launch around this time, but BT has remained quiet about its deployment plans, leading many to assume that it's ironing out the middleware bugs. Ovum predicts that BT will go for a "soft" launch in the coming months, while holding off on a full-launch until spring next year. BT also recently announced a deal with Sony for music programming.
