According to a report from The Diffusion Group, worldwide subscribers to IPTV services will jump from a mere 2 million in 2005 to 34 million by 2010. North America will lead the charge with 14 million households by 2010, which will account for 80 percent of these subscriptions. Not sure how those figures add up--14 looks closer to half of 34 to me. While the slow ebb of IPTV service deployments in the U.S. from small rural players continues, the large operators like AT&T and Verizon are set to ramp up the subscriptions in the country right quick.
