Report: Netflix accounts for 34% of all North American traffic in the evening

As the FCC prepares to grapple with new rules for the Internet, Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) announced that is consuming more Internet capacity every day. New data from a Sandvine found that Netflix traffic accounted for 34 percent of North America's downloads during peak evening hours this year, up from 32 percent in the latter half of last year. You Tube remained in second place but its share of online capacity fell to 13 percent from 19 percent six months ago. Amazon's share of peak traffic ticked up to 1.8 percent. Article
