SCTE show moves to Denver for 2014

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) named Tony Werner, EVP and CTO of Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), as its program committee chairman and said the association's annual conference will be held in Denver, Sept. 23-26, 2014. The location of the 2014 SCTE show comes on the heels of yesterday's announcement that SCTE is joining forces with CableLabs (which is based just outside of Denver) to integrate and align their work on standards and training programs. The agreement between CableLabs and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers comes about two months after CableLabs announced that it was absorbing the operations of Cable Europe Labs. Article
