SeaChange acquires software firm eventIS

Video-on-demand technology vendor SeaChange this week announced it is acquiring eventIS Group, a Netherlands-based company that develops VOD and linear broadcast software and related services, mostly in the European market. The deal price stated in the definitive agreement between the companies was about $36.6 million.

SeaChange also reported this week that it posted a net loss for the the second quarter, but said revenue should be somewhat higher in the second half of this year
