Multi-screen video software provider SeaChange International (NASDAQ:SEAC) unveiled Express, its multi-screen cloud video service, at the Cable Show in Chicago, today, giving video operators the opportunity to launch a low-risk multi-device video offering within a few weeks.
The platform enables operators to add PC, tablet or mobile screens, including Apple and Android, to existing television services within a few weeks.
"Express provides MSOs with a true TV Everywhere experience and an alternative to an in-house deployment, offering a fast, low cost entry with a high quality of service," said Damian Mulcock, VP of the company's worldwide multi-screen business. The new service enables operators to combine VOD, linear and time-shifted TV in a single environment for MSV and to complement their existing TV platform with minimal operational overhead.
"We pre-integrate every step of the delivery chain from content acquisition through the subscriber experience, to make a turnkey service for operators to answer their subscribers' demand for video ubiquity," Mulcock said.
