Shanghai Media Group, one of the only IPTV license holders in China, has announced it plans to expand its test group of IPTV users in Shanghai from 10,000 to 50,000 by the end of the year. The first tier of service will cost about 60 yuan a month for each user for 58 channels, the higher tier runs 100 yuan a month and will include more than 63 channels and 3,000 hours of VOD.
