SPOTLIGHT: German TV, IPTV meld for football

German pay-TV channel Premiere and Unity Media, holders of the Bundesliga league football rights, agreed that Premiere can show Bundesliga games after all. The deal doesn't cover all of Germany, only the 13 regions that are covered by Germany's lead cable TV provider, Kabel Deutschland. In the three remaining regions, where cable TV providers are active, Premiere customers must order and pay for Bundesliga games separately. It'll still play over their Premiere STBs, however.
