SPOTLIGHT: Is HD slowing down IPTV?

Some say it's the middleware, others the conversion of voice networks to IP, still others are blaming a dearth of MPEG-4 high definition chips for set-top boxes is to blame. For those carriers relying on copper phone lines to deliver their IPTV services, the MPEG-4 compression chips will lead to greater bandwidth efficiency.
