SPOTLIGHT: How to beat cable: Free the customer

MarketWatch columnist John Dvorak has a lengthy piece on how telcos should beat cable at the pay TV game. Dvorak's advice includes: Forget about closed systems, allow users to choose their own feeds. Make sure you have at least 10 Mbps or better. Dvorak believes that the cable companies are loathe to change their business models, and IPTV providers should exploit their hesitance to evolve by "freeing the consumer." Article
