Spotlight: Otto Berkes, Xbox cofounder, to replace HBO's Zitter

HBO has announced that Otto Berkes, the cofounder of the original Microsoft Xbox gaming platform, will step forward to take the reins as chief technology officer when current CTO Bob Zitter steps down in March 2013. The post will include oversight of worldwide technology efforts such as "consumer technology, distribution, origination, production operations, engineering and IT." Berkes has been with HBO since 2011 when he joined as senior voice president of digital products, and previously worked at Microsoft for 18 years. Read more
