TE Connectivity sells network gear biz to CommScope for $3B

TE Connectivity confirmed that it has agreed to sell its telecom and data equipment business to CommScope for $3 billion. After meeting customary financing, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, CommScope expects to close the transaction by the end of 2015.
