TiVo to integrate Plex cloud-based media management into set-tops

With its MSO constituents aggressively using cloud-based services to, among other things, differentiate their video products from satellite, TiVo plans to integrate Plex cloud-based media-management capabilities into its set-tops. The integration will enable users to manage their digital music, photos and videos in the cloud, via their living-room entertainment center or connected device. The announcement was made Wednesday in New York by Plex at a Streaming Media East keynote. FierceOnlineVideo's Samantha Bookman covered the event and has a full report here.
