Verizon targets FiOS TV at Yonkers public housing

Telcos have sometimes been accused of avoiding low-income markets and neighborhoods in their TV service rollouts. The arrangement with the local public housing authority covers 2,029 apartments in 18 buildings.

The telco has begun extending fiber to the apartment buildings and plans to have coverage extended to all the residents by the end of this year. However, it was not yet clear what Verizon's pricing would look like.
