Recently departed YouTube executive Tom Picket, meanwhile, has been tapped to lead a new group under Vahidi running niche online-video channels CrunchyRoll, KDrama and Creativebug. Story

> AMC has joined a coalition of U.S. theatrical movie chains which say they will boycott IMAX's release of the upcoming Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel because it defies traditional theatrical windowing. Story

> Just-retired New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is teaming with Legendary Entertainment to launch a new online destination, The Player's Tribune, that will let pro athletes vent "their unfiltered, honest and unique perspectives, bringing fans closer to the games they love." Story

> NBCUniversal announced a restructuring of some of its cable networks, grouping Bravo, Oxygen, E! and Esquire into what it calls the Lifestyle Network Group and putting Frances Berwick, president of Bravo and Oxygen Media, in charge of it. As part of the restructuring, nine-year E! president Suzanne Kolb has said she will leave the network. Story

>   Fox News topped the quarterly prime-time cable ratings for the first time since 1996, averaging 1.7 million viewers between 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Story
