What's next for Hulu? Subscriptions?

Is Hulu taking a hint from the success of its subscription-based Hulu Plus service and considering a subscription-based, ad-free offering for its core site? NewTeeVee highlights an interesting Twitter post from Hulu customer service that may point in that direction, and also notes that Hulu recently has been playing up the success of its Hulu Plus subscriptions.

There is a lot to wonder about Hulu right now--who will acquire it, how the site's business model might change, and whether or not it can continue to excel if broadcasters commit to building online content paywalls, as Fox just did. Answers may be coming soon.
