Wireline execs still raking in the big bucks—but compensations fluctuate

There are no surprises on a list of the highest paid wireline executives: the biggest are the best paid (AT&T and Verizon). What's different this year, according to a report compiled by FierceTelecom, is the movement in pay. Both Verizon boss Lowell McAdam and AT&T chief Randall Stephenson saw their compensation tail off, but Level 3's Jeff Storey jumped from $5.6 million to $10.6 million after he took over the CEO reins from James Crowe earlier this month. Those, of course, only scratch the surface of an extensive report that can be found here.
