YouTube, Yahoo continue assault on linear TV ad market

As they convene once again in New York this week for their annual NewFronts presentations, online video giants like YouTube are beginning to experience success in their primary objective--pull ad dollars away from linear TV and into online video. "The place where 1 billion people come to watch video is a natural home for video advertising budgets," said Omid Kordestani, senior VP and chief business officer for Google, remarking on the explosive growth of his company's YouView ad sales platform.
