aioTV patents unified programming guide that includes OTT, broadcast, cable listings

aioTV, a middleware vendor that offers a unified program guide to video distributors and others, has been awarded a patent that covers a method for pulling together video channels from multiple sources, including OTT, cable and broadcast content. CEO Mike Earle told FierceCable at the SCTE Cable Tec Expo in Denver that the company is in talks with wireless providers that could potentially use the technology. More details can be found here.
