Akamai to support Olympics streaming

Akamai (Nasdaq: AKAM) said it will provide online streaming video delivery and other services to NBC during the 2014 Winter Games in February. Akamai will help NBC deliver video at its NBCOlympics.com site and to its NBC Sports Live Extra mobile app. Beyond live streaming video of all 98 events, Akamai said it will support DVR-like functions such as pausing and rewinding video.
