Brightcove names new CFO as company looks to more change

Online video platform Brightcove today named Christopher Menard,  former SVP and CFO of Phase Forward who helped that company through the execution and integration of six acquisitions, a successful IPO, and its acquisition by Oracle earlier this year, its chief financial officer. Menard was with Phase Forward, which provided enterprise software and services for clinical trials and drug safety, for more than nine years.

"Christopher is an important addition to our executive management team and will be instrumental in helping ramp operations and leverage growth and expansion opportunities on a worldwide basis," said Jeremy Allaire, Brightcove chairman and chief executive officer. "He brings tremendous perspective and a proven track record in strategic planning and acquisitions. I look forward to working with him as we develop our position as a long-term independent company."

Menard will report directly to Allaire.

The move adds to an already busy year for Brightcove, which has added a bevy of executives in 2010, including Elizabeth Nelson to the company's Board, David Mendels as President and COO, Paul Goetz as SVP of Sales in North America and Dennis Rose as VP of APAC.
