CinemaNow signs distribution deal with Warner Bros. for catch-up online video

Add Roxio's CinemaNow to the ranks of Hulu and other sites that give viewers the opportunity to catch up on their favorite shows-commercial free--the day after they air. The Sonic Solutions property had finalized a deal with Warner Bros. that gives it access to Fringe, Human Target, The Bachelor, Two and a Half Men and more.

CinemaNow will offer standard and hi-def versions of the shows following their broadcast dates for $1.99 an episode.

"We want to be the first choice for consumers whether they are looking to instantly access the latest new movie release or catch up on a favorite TV show in stunning high definition," said Dave Habiger, president and CEO of Sonic Solutions. "We will continue to expand the entertainment selection available to consumers through the Roxio CinemaNow platform and across an ever growing network of consumer electronic devices."

CinemaNow--which is Best Buy's and Blockbuster's delivery platform of choice--is continuing to expand its offerings, saying more shows from Warer Bros. are on the horizon, as well as episodes from other studios.

The Roxio CinemaNow entertainment platform serves a broad range of premium content to a growing, multi-manufacturer ecosystem of home and mobile electronics including PCs, connected TVs, set-top DVRs, Blu-ray Disc players, smart phones, and mobile media devices.
