Dish Network has quietly filed a trademark application for the name "Nutv," which GigaOm speculates is to be the name for its planned OTT programming service. The filing described goods and services offered by Nutv as "Broadcasting, webcasting, streaming, and transmission of audio, video, subscription television, and video-on-demand content via the internet and electronic communications networks…" FierceCable has more details here.
