Fall Classic fails to draw in TV audience

What's the cause of the World Series' record-low audience numbers? Theories abound, but the facts remain: The Fall Classic averaged only 12.1 million viewers in its first five games. That's 600,000 fewer viewers than the previous record low, the Giants' 2012 sweep of the Detroit Tigers. It remains to be seen whether Game 7, following Tuesday's 10-0 blowout of San Francisco by Kansas City, will boost that average. FierceCable has the details here.
