NBA Digital scores with online playoffs package

It may not be enjoying quite the popularity that March Madness does, but the NBA Playoffs are proving to be a boon for NBA Digital, which said it's recorded 1.2 billion page views, a 40 percent increase from a year ago, on NBA.com since the playoffs began; it's also seen a whopping 132 percent year-over-year increase in video streams, with 417 million videos viewed. The NBA's cross-platform play also said it has seen an average of 8.2 million uniques a day, an increase of 78 percent from a year ago.

NBA Mobile, meanwhile, said GameTime App downloads are up 83 percent from a year ago; the mobile apps have seen more than 500,000 downloads.

NBA Digital will continue to provide online video coverage through the playoffs. Highlights include:

  • Pre- and post-game analysis;
  • Press conferences;
  • Complete game playbacks of every playoff game; and,
  • Encore presentations of NBA GameTime.
